It is our pleasure to introduce you to the Centre for Byzantine Research of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).

The Centre for Byzantine Research of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is one of the most important research centers in Greece and the only University Interdepartmental Centre in Greece and Europe that serves all branches of Byzantine Society and Culture.
Aims and objectives of the Centre for Byzantine Research:
1)Research in the branches of Byzantine Studies (Medieval Greek Philology, Byzantine History, Byzantine Theology, Byzantine Archeology, and Art, and Byzantine Law)
2)Specialization of the graduates of higher national and foreign educational institutions
3)Training of specialist researchers in Byzantine studies
Actions for achieving aims and objectives:
1)Research programs organization
2)Publication of scientific findings (Journals & Series)
3)Organization of annual graduate training programs
4)Exchange of research findings and scientific information with other related institutions at home and abroad
5)Organization and operation of its Library, one of the richest in Europe in terms of Byzantine text publications
